Dr. David A. Evans was Professor of Linguistics and Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University (1983–1996), President, CEO, and Chief Scientist of Clairvoyance Corporation (1992–2009), and Chief Scientist and Director, Advanced Technology Innovation, JustSystems Corporation (1996–2009). JustSystems’s ConceptBase Search – based on Dr. Evans’s CLARIT technology – won the “Software Product of the Year” award from the Japanese government in 1998 and by 2000 had a 60% market share. Dr. Evans received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Stanford University. He has been awarded 25 US patents. He is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Informatics (ACMI), the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and the Association for Psychological Science (APS).
